世界难题果然不是那么好就解决的,昨天还猜测黎曼猜想被证明了??今天看到文章给人一当头棒喝。。。
今天搜Xian-Jin Li,想看看是否为华裔,结果搜出一篇文章:
Xian-Jin Li: a wrong proof of the Riemann hypothesis
文中举了两个人:Alain Connes和陶哲轩
首先是Alain Connes,法房,厨房真没劲随手拿了个东西是个西红柿,右手提了玻璃水壶便向阳台走去,哗啦哗啦地摇晃着玻璃水壶。附近的花鸟市场国大数学家,1982年菲尔兹奖获得者。
在他的blog上有人问他对于这个证明的看法,他的回复是:
I don't like to be too negative in my comments. Li's paper is an attempt to prove a variant of the global trace formula of my paper in Selecta.The "proof" is that of Theorem 7.3 page 29 in Li's paper, but I stopped reading it when I saw that he is extending the test function h from ideles to adeles by 0 outside ideles and then using Fourier transform(see page 31). This cannot work and ideles form a set of measure 0inside adeles (unlike what happens when one only deals with finitely many places).
这位同志看到自己的文章被引用就急着翻到了那页,于是就看出了问题。。。。
不过又有人回复Alain同志:There is now a version 4 of Li's preprint. I am curious if the newer versions addresses your concern.

然后是陶哲轩。。。又是一个菲尔兹奖获得者,他也是在回复某询问这个证明的时候说了话,不过他指出的错误是20页上的:

It unfortunately seems that the decomposition claimed in equation (6.9) on page 20 of that paper is, in fact, impossible; it would endow the function h (which is holding the arithmetical information about the primes) with an extremely strong dilation symmetry which it does not actually obey. It seems that the author was relying on this symmetry to make the adelic Fourier transform far more powerful than it really ought to be for this problem.
看来。。。约翰纳什可能还有点事情干。。
